Whiskey took on refinishing one of our wooden boats. He has been at it for months on and off, fitting it in between work, chores, RV travel, and life in general. After a snafu with stripper chemicals that don't actually strip varnish, and the setback that caused delays, varnishing is now happening.
After several coats of varnish.
Looks good, but let's wreck that gloss and sand again.
This is a very tedious process. I will update this post as progress happens. Maybe Whiskey will chime in add details.
Boat info: 1992 26' Hacker-Craft Triple Cockpit. We have owned it since 2005. There has been much work and maintenance on the boat over the years.
