We have a toad!

In the RV lifestyle world, a tow car is nicknamed a toad. AND the toad should color coordinate with motorhome. 😁

We started researching tow vehicle options for four wheels down. This requirement and the curb weight being close to 4000 pounds narrowed down the options. The Jeep Wrangler kept coming up as the best option for us. So, we started looking at used ones in our area that would color coordinate. This Ocean Blue Metallic was less than hour from home, the color coordinates with the blue in our rig's graphic. It is a 2020 that was well cared for by one owner.

The back seat was taken out immediately and set up for Bell.

The next step is getting a soft-top and getting the rigs set up with the tow system. Once that is done I, Wine, need to practice driving this. 😳My plan is that Whiskey drives the rig with toad in tow to central Maine where I will then take the wheel on I95 where the highway is two lanes with minimal traffic. This will give me the chance to get a feel for the extended length while changing lanes.

This week included my birthday. I'm not big into fanfare; I use it as a reason / excuse to take a day to do something that doesn't require cooking, doing laundry, or other chores. We head over to coastal Maine to the Cliff House in Cape Neddick.

Have a quick look here.

After a relaxed lunch at Nubbs Lobster Shack in the resort we brought drinks to the chairs overlooking the ocean. Here is a ten second clip of the ocean.

Our next stop was to Ogunquit's beach. Dogs are not welcome there, at all, ever, never, ever! We walked the perimeter of the public parking area. The beach is nice and expansive there.

We learned that RVs are permitted in the parking lot so we think we will bring the rig over for a day trip and hang out there with Bell safe and sound and contained. Here is an example of how to do it.

Next up was to Kennebunkport our favorite town on the coast since we know it so well, it kind of feels like home.

Kennebunkport is known for old charming houses in the downtown area. Most are beautifully landscaped and well-cared for.

We took a walk in the Village Green.

Maine coast is great place to visit. One could spend a week town hopping up the coast from York to Old Orchard Beach.

That's all for now. Next up is baking my first loaf of sour dough bread. The starter is looking very good and ready. šŸ¤ž
